[S1 E9] All About Myths: Are Carbs Bad For You? And Protein?
As you probably know by now, demystifying the health world and empowering you with the necessary tools to make informed choices in the often-confusing fitness environment is my true passion project.
It is important to me that you have the freedom to make your own choices and select what works best for you, without being swayed by others' opinions or trendy influencers on social media.
So, today I am tackling a few myths in the world of nutrition (I plan on doing a multiple series of different myths in fitness and nutrition, because again - this is my passion), specifically surrounding macronutrients. And that is: 1. that protein makes you fat and 2. that carbs make you fat.
In today’s episode, I explain the molecular structure of proteins and why they can't be stored as fat easily. Then, I dive into why carbohydrates are your body's preferred energy source and why they're so important to include in your diet. I also talk about the impact your hormones, stress, and gut health can have on your body, so make sure you tune in!

Quotes:
Should I lower my fat? Should I lower my carbs? Neither. You have to find the right balance.
It's not the carbs, it's just the source of the carbs and or how your body is reacting to that.
Even though they're in a caloric deficit, technically their body doesn't perceive it that way and metabolically, they're gaining fat rapidly.
