[S1 E39] September Strength: The Key for a Longer, Happier Fulfilling Life

"What is wellness resilience and why is it important?"

If you ever asked yourself this question, then you came to the right place.

In today’s world, we often find ourselves seeking that elusive state of well-being, where happiness, health, and contentment come together harmoniously. Enter the concept of wellness resilience, a term that's gaining traction in the world of personal development and holistic health. But what exactly is wellness resilience, and how can it transform your life for the better?

At its core, wellness resilience is the ability to adapt, grow, and thrive in the face of life's challenges while maintaining a state of well-being. It's not merely about bouncing back from setbacks but rather proactively nurturing your physical, mental, and emotional health to weather the storms of life.

In this episode, we are continuing our Strength in September series by talking about the fascinating world of wellness resilience. It's that elusive quality that sets apart those who not only live longer but do so with more happiness, health, and satisfaction and it's all about the foundations, habits, and mindsets that are wellness-based.

Today, we'll venture beyond the surface and uncover the science behind longevity and overall well-being. We'll explore the secrets that empower some to lead lives filled with vitality and contentment. This isn't your run-of-the-mill self-help talk; it's a deep dive into what makes life truly fulfilling.

In today’s episode, we cover:

Quotes:

You can live your best life 24-7 if you're in the mindset where day-to-day things and challenges don't derail you, don't make you completely hate your life and treat others worse just because things are harder for you.

Be part of the difference, be part of the change and be a better human.

If we can maintain and grow more resilient and conscientious humans that really are thinking of how to preserve their own happiness and well-being and know that their community is doing the same and is going to support them in that same way, it is key.

The really bad thing we have in our society is we wayside all of our foundational health habits first. And we almost wear it like a badge of honor.

Make sure that you understand that sacrificing all your health habits and needs as a human being, that you have a birthright to,  is not helping anybody and especially not helping you.

If there are things that are really important to you that you like to keep in your day-to-day, maybe it's a longer skincare routine, maybe it's an occasional bath, but you are starting to sacrifice that and you can't remember the last time you did it, you should really take some time back for yourself. And that is one of the best ways you can remain resilient.

Arguably, the most important thing for you to practice is that you have to give up the really super dogmatic approach of being “I must hit everything perfectly or else I failed and then I might as well just give up and I suck.” No, drop that thought pattern altogether

Life is constantly throwing curveballs. We can't expect everything to stay perfect. So, how can you expect to stay perfect on your routine?

Perfection is never achievable and it’s unrealistic because it's unachievable and it’s not necessary to be successful. It's never necessary to be successful.
